Please don't hesitate to contact me with any problems or questions, I have a lot of experience and can help you resolve most issues very inexpensively or point you in the right direction, especially before going to the vet! I‘m sure I’ve taken one of my dogs to the vet for the exact same thing and between my network, we can get you educated on the matter before your visit! Not all vets are created equal and you need to be the ambassador for your dog♥️This would include most anything.
We are feeding 4health puppy food from tractor supply. Be sure to get the lamb and rice with healthy grains! we will add warm water to a 2 cup sized bowl add a tablespoon of puppy canned. I feed them 2 times a day. You can offer them a total of 6 cups of food a day throughout their life, get them on adult food at 12 weeks of age. Give her more food even though it says differently on package. If u feed them like package it makes them crazy for food. If you give them more they don’t care about it Also dogs need a quality grain, don’t do the grain free, fad diet.
At 12 weeks of age you need to start switching him over to adult food, you can mix any left over puppy 50 / 50 with the adult until it is gone. This is to control growing to fast and by doing this along with limiting exercise for first 2 years you are helping to insure your dog lives a more physically fit long life. Also, it is recommended to wait at least 2 years before getting the puppy spayed or neutered! This helps in the different leg bones growing at same rate. The dogs need their hormones! I've been using BilJac Little*Jacs as small training treats. Also sliced carrots, small enough not to choke and they love raw sweet potatoes sliced in chips♥️♥️
Do not change your puppies diet right away after getting him, this will help the puppy maintain his solid poo!!!! Wait 10 days before getting vaccinations!! Your first visit to vet is a puppy wellness and no shots should be given! It’s an opportunity for you to introduce your puppy to vet and your vet to teach And help you with your new friend. Vet will do a fecal and this is an important visit!! Get rabies shot on a different day as other vaccines, and only get the 1 year rabies! I will gladly help you with anything that comes up!! We have spent hours with these guys and have become emotionally attached to them before you get him and we want them to have as easy transition as possible because we care about them!
Please read this link♥️ https://www.austindog.org/socialization-and-parvo I will have given your puppy a Neopar vaccine at 3 and 5 weeks and his first 5 way at 7 weeks. I’m trying to give your puppy every advantage, how ever because of the mothers antibodies your puppy may not be as well vaccinated as we think, so still follow all precautions mentioned in my warranty and this link♥️

Please do not get the 3 year rabies shot!!! The list litteraly goes on and on♥️Eye injuries, swollen glands, limping, swallowing a towel...please contact me we can get a strategy!
**It is very important to get your puppy off puppy food at 12 weeks!! Having the biggest, fattest doodle may be cute but it is not in the best interest of the dog!! Puppy food and high protein dog foods make your puppy grow too fast causing growth issues!! If your puppy continues to get fat on adult you then will need to feed him less food. At 12 Weeks we are feeding 6 cups of adult a day, that needs to be watched; if he is getting too thin feed him more and too fat feed him less. Take pictures and evaluate his weight every Sunday, its not easy maintaining a dogs weight but it is very worth it!!**
Lots of times at the age between 4 and 8 months the puppy will have a pretty big growth spurt and will be pretty uncomfortable and even limp. This can go on for quite a while and the best thing you can do for him is to continue feeding the quality adult dog food, manage his weight(now and throughout life), limit activity, joint supplements are great, dont let him run up and down the steps and jump off furniture. You really just need to wait this out and let him grow!! Swimming is a great activity for them!
Use the chart to gage your doodles weight.
As far as collars go I like to use a slip solid dog leash, order from chewy. Reasons why is it is not safe to leave a collar on your dog when you aren't around and your puppy is going to be out growing collars very fast!
I would buy hard rubber toys and I would be afraid to leave cloth bedding in the crate with puppy. The puppy can swollow one of the stuffed toys whole and get it stuck in their throat and they can chew bedding and have the same thing happen. You can bath your doodle as often as you like, I would find a gentle shampoo and conditioner and I love the wire grooming comb to brush them out with after they have air dried♥️
These are the supplies I have used over the 30 years I’ve been grooming. I always go back to these basics in the event something gets lost. Because of how long they last they are the most economical!
“Just wanted to tell you that since we took away the bones he has been doing great. The trainer has had us hand feed him his food etc. he's doing great. “ View video! https://youtu.be/8ZdebPzb2-U here is a great video https://youtu.be/7oKsgxJPIFI
Your puppy will be coming to you in the infant stage of life. Everything will be new to him! The long trip, new hours, new way food is prepared, no litter mates, new people! It’s going to be your job to introduce him to all of these news. He will need sleep, he will need you to teach him not to be food or toy or treat aggressive, especially if you have young children!! The puppy doesn’t need to have treats right away, that’s actually a lesson in its self! If he does something great just hearing how happy you are and getting petted is enough!! Remember how important you are to this new family member and do as much training research as you can while you wait for the big day🥰

You need a wire crate and a leash. Have him sleep in crate over night. Let him out emdeiatly when u wake up, u can’t do anything but wake up and run him outside. Just stand there like a statue until he goes to the bathroom and then tell him what a good boy he is. Then come back inside put him in the crate and give him his food and water. 30 minutes later let him out and stand like a statue ware for him to poo and pee and tell him what a good boy he is. When you feed him give him a large bowl and let him eat what he needs and then that’s it for the day.
Anytime you take him out of crate you take him immediately outside and stand like a statue tell he goes potty. Then in the house have him on a leash and have him follow you around and this way you can catch him if he starts to go potty. If he does start to go potty in house scream and take him out side. Scream "no" like u r getting in a car wreck!!!! but when he is good be so nice and use the sweetest voice you have!!! You can feed and water him in the evening again…do it the exact same way …let out, statue, good boy put back in crate with food and water wait 30 minutes let out, statue, good boy!! Same thing everyday at as close to the same times as possible!!
When he is in the house have him on a leash with you, this way you can easily keep an eye on him and get him outside when he gives you signals he has to go potty. This also works very well with a puppy who is in the chewing stage because he is right by you and you should notice what he is doing, you can save your remote!! This is a great way to bond with your new puppy too. I will also say with leash training your dog its best to always keep them on one side of you and out to the front! As your dog gets bigger, if you have let him get used to getting behind you and going from side to side, sooner or later he is going to trip you up and you could get hurt. Its better to get these good habits started while they are small.
